PLL Style Guide: Hanna Marin

One thing I always notice when I'm watching "Pretty Little Liars" is Hanna's style! I love the way she dresses! She manages to look sophisticated, cute, fun, flirty and young all at the same time! Read on for tips on how to dress more like Hanna...

• Hanna always looks very put-together. 

Whether it's at school

at a party

or at home.

•  Hanna loves adding more "grown-up," sophisticated pieces, to younger, more edgy pieces, to create fun looks!

In this outfit, Hanna paired a plain black blazer, with a striped shirt, a short tight skirt and black boots. 

• Blazers Blazers Blazers! Hanna can find a way to incorporate a blazer into pretty much any outfit! A lot of the time, she'll wear a blazer with a fun t-shirt with lots of color and designs, or she'll wear one with a ruffly colorful top or a cute dress. Wearing the blazers with things that probably wouldn't be worn as part of a suit, helps Hanna look sophisticated for a teen, but not too sophisticated! 

In this outfit, Hanna wore a cute, girly striped dress with a black menswear inspired blazer. 

Here, Hanna wore a yellow graphic tee with a red blazer. Wearing both pieces together gave the outfit a really cool contrast. 

• Hanna keeps her hair and makeup fairly simple.

• Hair: Hanna usually wears her hair down, and styles it in messy waves. Occasionally, she wears her hair up in a messy ponytail...if you're trying to achieve Hanna's look, remember that Hanna's hair never looks too polished. It's usually messy, but still cute. 

In seasons 1 and 2, Hanna had long wavy hair.  To achieve
messy waves like Hanna's, try wrapping small sections of hair
around a 1-1.5 in. curling iron and then
combing through the curls with your fingers. 

Sometimes Hanna wears her hair up. When trying to style
your hair like this, don't sleek your hair back too much. Keep
it messy and let a few strands of hair hang loose
around your face. 

In seasons 3 and 4, Hanna had
much shorter hair. She wore it with slightly
messier waves and more layers.

Sometimes Hanna opts for a smokey eye. 

• Makeup: Hanna's makeup is usually noticeable, but not very bold. She usually wears neutral colors. 

 

Other times, she chooses to keep her eye makeup pretty
 natural looking.







Hanna usually has very fun, bright, shocking nail colors. 




















Last but not least, let's look at Hanna's accessories....

Hanna seems to love statement pieces! 




• Necklaces!
• Hanna usually is seen wearing big, chunky necklaces that compliment other, more delicate pieces of her wardrobe perfectly. 












• Earrings!
• Hanna seems to really like hoop earrings, but sometimes, if she isn't wearing a lot of other jewelry, she is seen wearing other more extreme looking earrings. 


















• Rings!
• Whenever we see Hanna checking her phone for texts from "A," we almost always see a cocktail ring!















Hanna always seems to look so cute whether she's running through the forest, going to a school dance, or just hanging out with her friends! I love her style and I hope this guide gave you some tips on how to dress more like her. Remember that even if you like someone else's style and you want to incorporate inspiration from their style into your wardrobe, always keep your own individual style.
